Red face Did some porting(pix)

Well pulled the exhaust mani. off again and did some MORE porting to the collector mainly.Last time it was off I focused more on the primaries.Also did a port job on my TB but no pics of that.So an hour and a half later,this is the outcome


and here is a pic compared to a stock LSJ manifold



I can feel a bit of a difference.I feel like I'm shifting out of gears faster but hey who knows.We'll see when I hit the track on the 3rd.See if I can break a 15.3.

it looks like you broke through the metal on the first pic. on the bottom-left.

Nope.Thats a spot where the dremel didnt want to go,so Its actually a carbon spot.Everything is back together and no leaks

It smoothes the path of the exhaust and opens it up more for improved flow

ok people have said driver mod a thousand times what the hell is it haha

ok how the hell did u get ur ride SLAMMED looks dirty, i have tenzos with 17s and not even close to that, i just put them on do u think i have to wait for them to settle or something

so your running a 15.3 with that and you didnt put a header on yet man fully bolted and tuned you might be able to hit 14's )

Im running 15.40 currently and Im trying to be the first N/A stock internal 2.2L cobalt to hit a 14.Im getting dam close.I need a 2.4 intake mani a header/dp combo and tune with some good tires and I'm pretty sure I can hit a 14

All I have to say is good thing you're a 5 speed. With those same mods I ran a best of 16.02.

If you get a good tune, you could dip into 14's for sure.

14.79 is a big feat in a stock internal 2.2 with no power adders, yet you have never made a thread about this run or any pics, vids or timeslips, that seems odd to me

Thats what I thought.This goal of hitting 14's N/A with stock internals is a HUGE goal for me and Ive yet to hear any one come out with PROOF running a 14.

Well damn fastl61 I have the same mods you do for the most part and you are getting close to 14? are you still running the stock clutch?

Ive yet to run mine at the track so I still have no idea what she will do. Also I desperately need to replace my DP with something aftermarket.. Cat is shot anyway

Honestly I didn't think it was that uncommon I saw an na cobalt hit 14s before me and if you don't believe me whatever all my friends saw it and don't really care if all the Internet badasses believe me

All I'm saying is get a video of it for all of us to see. There's no point in having a list of top times if nobody can prove it. I don't doubt you did run a 14, but that's something people want to see.
