I have no clue when it comes to engine stuff.. do you think this thing actually works? I kind of doubt it will give the increases it claims to.

i thnk u can get some more mpg out of it, but as for hp, i dont think so , idk i think it would just block the airflow instead of make it into a mini tornado or w/e it claims

Its supposed to spin the air to help mix the air and gas(thats what they say anyways) but i dunno how its supposed to help a fuel injected car when the gas is directly shot into the cylinder

I remember fabbing something like this for a bottle rocket (cut the fins a little bigger, bend them outward instead of inward, and space them 120 degrees apart, and you've got amazing stabilization) in my junior year of high school. All it took was 15 minutes, a dremel, a vice, and a pair of pliers

I was actually looking at something similar at: http://www.turbonator.com/index.html

I have tried to do as much research as possible, and in speaking with the guys at Westminster Speed and Sound: http://www.westminsterspeed.com/

They have assured me that it is pretty much useless for power gains. I have even spoke with someone at another shop that said when they Dyno'd the product, they found it to be detrimental (SP?) to the cars power.

Yeah, I love the claims that the turbonators website makes....it's halarious!
Also it's

Yeah, it can help your gas mileage from the standpoint of maximizing your air flow, but the hp gains....I haven't see any actual stories of it working well.

I have had a couple of friends who said that it has helped their gas mileage but only 3-5 mpg and I was actually thinking of getting the original tornado, available at Autozone, solely for the fuel mileage aspect.

Be careful on the cheap ones though I have seen a couple of stories about those flanges breaking off and being sucked into the engine.....that would suck!

If you decide to go that route, go with the orginal tornado, don't try cheap copies.
