updated with notes 4/27

4/27/2010

Got the tuner cable in yesterday, waiting for vince to send tune and software. also got spark plugs in. have everypart but radiator hose but i can get that at autozone or w/e. o and windshield resivor but i can drive w/o that for awhile. i was just sitting and thinking about installing the SC, i still have my extended warrenty for another 50k miles. i was going to install the sc this weekend but idk now. someone change my mind back. i got about 50,000 miles on the car now. the tranny makes a click when shifting into D and R. dont wanna add the SC on then the tranny break. also waiting for the power steering recall number to come in so i can take it in for them to reinstall that. any suggestions? the car breaking down and not having a warrenty can hurt me, i have a kid on the way and cant afford to replace tranny if it goes. tranny might be full healthy im just thinking bad thoughts right now.

why not just go to the dealer now and tell them about the problem you are having with your tranny and tell them to do the recall for your car also while its there than when they give your car back slap the sc on to your car. problem solved.

i took it to the dealership and i sat in the drivers seat and a techinician came out to hear what the problem was. i had it in park, put it in D, big CLICK. not a lil one, this one is loud. put it in R, click. he said it was how its suppose to be. i might take it back and have them look at it again also check the fluid. i know our fluid doesnt need change but i read somewhere for GM if you drive in harsh conditions, change every 50,000 miles. im almost at 50,000 miles and i do major travling to pittsburgh and back going throw snow, rain, hills and long 6 hr drives straight through. i just did a florida trip, 11 hours straight with minor stopping and 16 hours coming back straight minor stopping.

i cant take it for the recall til i get a letter in the mail with a recall reference number for me. i called about it already.

so looks like im selling the kit. got the wifey to agree on letting me get a motorcycle. i rather have a car with warrenty and a motorcycle than voiding the warrenty that i paid 1000 for and still dreaming about a motorcycle.

putting some numbers together to see how much i wanna sell it for. looks like 1500. has all but water resivor, upper radaitor hose, and some misc hoses and wires for IC pump. other than that, i got everything even bolts and gaskets.

i already have the m62 with a 2.8" pulley, so i see 15-17psi depending on ambient temps...and for me a tvs 2.2 would be worth it, would be ~3.5k total inc the tvs and the build
