Wow, that's a nice increase!

I'm looking into some Stage 2 cams myself...I'd like to see what those put out in terms of gains.

Yeah, X2 on Spanky's question, gas mileage...

injectors??? they dont add power buddy and hpt is nothing different than what vince can do.
Hahaha you will learn my friend when you get cams, injectors dont add power??? You need more fuel to make power, your so smart arent you, if you raise the redline and upgrade your valvetrain the higher you get in the rpm range the more lean you will run, the 2.2's only have so much fuel that can be added!!!.......Hmm Vince just adjusts things in a canned tune. Nothing special

Vince's tuning software is no longer CANNED TUNES it is just as good as any others. It datalogs just like any others. Just cause he is 1500 miles away doesn't mean he can see what the car is doing at WOT and everything else.

BTW im purchasing the software in the up coming weeks when he gets back.

33hp was the hosrsepower gained with all bolt on's and cams[/QUOTE]

Well i have a full exhaust and a intake. So hopefully with stage 2 i get more than 33hp. How much did the cams give you alone? like what hp did the cams give

Good runs man.

I noticed your AFR for the second run with cams was much smoother but it seemed to drop really rich for an N/A tune.

I bet thats the reason the torque falls off in the end.

Yeah vince is going to take a look at that. But i need to change my fuel filter. and the car wants to lean out when i go up hills sometimes

k, you do realize that the LE5's are making much more power on the same injectors rght? bigger injectors are NOT needed for stage 2 cams and a higher redline. the stock injectors will be enough. the stage 2 cams don't flow that much more then stage 1. don't expect another 15-20whp from them. if you are, your dreaming!

Hmm, so im guessing the stage 2 cams arent too much more aggressive?? Thats interesting, thanks for that info! I was just trying to prove a point by saying injectors are needed alot of the time after a valvetrain upgrade and upped redline cause you will start to lean out in the higher rpm range, but is there a stage 3 cam out for the 2.2's yet? That would be interesting to see a full N/A build on the 2.2 with a crazy redline...
Jason get on it!!!! Just dump alot of money into that thing, haha

Comp cams STG3's arent what most people would consider street friendly. They have a chopy idle unless you raise the idle rpm quite a bit over stock, and they dont make a whole lot of power in the midrange these are like 5000-8500 rpm cams. They REQUIRE different springs, and you should also be deleting or going neutral on the balance shafts at the same time.

lol MORE?!?!
dude your crazy, thats an increadibly good gain for a 140whp 2.4L
you just gained 24% horsepower from just cams.
to put that in perspective, that would be like a 500whp z06 getting to 620!

It looks like you've actually LOST power until 4k rpms. I thought the stage 1's were suppose to help after 2600 rpms. Overall I'm not all that impressed. It is nice to see an actual dyno sheet on these though, I'd love to see one for the stage 2's.
