Exhaust dump.
So I'm thinking about buying an exhaust cutout so that I can keep my stuff pretty quiet for my long, early commute. I was thinking about mounting it after the resonator, but would it I be better off mounting it further downstream, maybe keep some extra back pressure??Or should I cut out the resonator and place it there? Just wanting to gather opinions...

Typically, when you see cutouts, they are right after the header. Don't forget that its a 4 cylinder and it ain't gona rumble. If you cut out the resonator, its gona change the sound big, will make it louder. If you mount it further downstream, it will give you more backpressure, but eliminating the backpressure is the entire point of adding a cutout... Also, the only thing it would be bypassing is the muffler.
My opinion would be just get a catback and not even try the cutout. If its an electronic one, its gona leak air, and if is a manual one, your hands will be filthy every time you open ore close it.

If you are going to install one you want it before the resonator. Best place would be just after the 2nd HO2S sensor on the DP. Will be noisy like an uncorked header when open.

if you want to hear a sample listen to mine, i have mine installed before the muffler with the resonator deleted
