exhaust question

I have a cat back exhaust on my 2.2, I dont want to run open header cause it's F***ing retared. But what you think about running a side pipe? after the exhaust sensor, have a 2.25"-2.5" exhaust pipe tube run to the passenger side rite behind the door. all input will be helpful. thanks
