ok, i dont get it. i have not seen mine go above 26 mpg. i am a lead foot sometimes but most of the time it is easy go. i have an 08 2.2L and engine is completely stock. hell i havent touched the plastic covers yet. i have read that people are getting 30 to 35 mpg. the only question i have is what do i need to do to get 30 mpg or so. my car has just broke 5000 miles.

to get 37 i drive like a pansy. around town though sometimes i get better millage just because you can neutral coast a lot also check out hypermiling techniques most of them are over the top but their are some good ideas in there

May want to drive like a panzy like whitty. I also drive like a old man. Then again i am rather Old and constantly have a child with me so i tend to drive a bit slower.

My daughter screams at me when I lead foot it sometimes. DADDY your going to fast slow down. And thats at 40. lmao

mileage

I normally have a lead foot, doctor says I have no hope haha, but I had been getting about 24mpg and I mean that is keepin it over 100mph a good amount of the time. I'm currently tryin some hypermilin' tactics so I can save some money on gas as I drive near 600miles a week , but I'm gettin 45mpg + ...it its def. possible, but I mean you have to accelerate like you have all day long to do it and draft when you can, keep it at 55mph, throw it to neutrol on downhills, etc...

Even at the Beaumont track at night its hot as hell. not to mention the smell. When i first went there i thought it was a skunk. a skunk don't last for 10 miles.

Mine with an automatic gets an average of 29.2 MPG and this is half highway and half inner city.

I have done a long distance trip in my wife's 03 Sunfire going 70mph with the CC on, and I did get 37 MPG. That was all highway miles going to Las Vegas. Since she has an Ecotec 2.2, I imagine getting about the same on my Cobalt.

at 13 gallons a tank you would need to average out at about 40 mpg. i guess if youre about 2-3 car lenghts behind and 18 wheeler it might happen. let us know how it goes.
