getting a 2.2 tuned?

i may not have searched hard enough, but i didnt find it.

for the focuses, there is a little tuner thing that you plug into your obd plug, costs about 300-400 dollars depending on options, and it lets you do tons of things. its pre-programmed to tune your engine for 91-93 octane(has an option for higher octane), changes a/f ratios, if you have an automatic it will change your tranny to shift more aggressively, cat-o2 sensor disable, egr disable, early fan activation...blah blah blah, gives about 8whp but makes the car a lot more drivable and aggressive. is there anything like this for the cobalts w/2.2? i did my cobalt shopping at gravanatuning.com(awesome place) and dont see anything. of course, i'm new to the whole ecu/computer/obd thing, i dont know much about anything about that. lol

No there isn't. The closest thing to that is HP Tuners but that isn't available for the 2.2 Cobalts as of yet...the SS/SC's have it though.

If you want more places to shop for your cobalt, check out this list:

http://www.ecotecforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=236

It lists every site that we really know of that has ECOTEC related parts. While you're at it, join the forum

Enjoy.

One of the sponsors on here claim that they are the only ones to have cracked it...TTP I believe. They are a very reputable company (most of the GTO guys deal with them) try getting in touch with them and see what they have to say
