Glass pack

I was thinking of putting a glass pack on my car. Has anybody done this yet? If so is there a video so I know how it would sound? Last thing what size is the 07 cobalt ls exhaust size?

ok DO NOT do this...if you just put a glass pack on it will be very ricy/raspy...the only reason u should put a glasspack on a car car is if u have a V8 or you use is on a 4 banger as a resonator...like me and stock i believe is 1 7/8 its pathetic... my set up is no cat...2.25 to a cherry bomb glass pack resonator to a carbon fibor muffler sounds good to me and i get compliments all the time...if u keep the cat the diff is between having a cat and not is without is a louder but both sound fine any more questions haha

Yea X2 on that one..

Please dont expect it to sound good. I have never heard a 4cyl with a glass pack not sound like complete ass.

Just save the 40 bucks that its going to cost you until you have enough to at least slap a muffler on there. save up around 200 bucks and you can spring for a Magnaflow setup like I have. Its not a bolt on cat back but its 2.25 in all the way back with a magnaflow straight through muffler and tip. Sounds amazing.

AGREE make it custom but go on ebay and get a nice muffler with a 4 inch or 4.25 inch tip for 40 bucks or do what he did ^^^^^^ i spent around 320 for mine and its 2.25 from header to a cherry bomb glass pack(resonator)2.25 to a carbon fibor muffler with that WRX look like how its on an angle just check out my VB GARAGE for the look

I would not recommend just throwing one on the end as a muffler. But they make good resonators, to keep the raspiness down and to keep the cabin noise down.. I bought one for my car but never used it, if you need one Ill sell it to ya cheap.

these guys are right...it doesn't sound good if you use the gp as a muffler...really really raspy...but yes..if you use it somewhere between the dp and the muffler... should be a good setup. - good luck settin it up (if you so choose to use this approach)
