Calling the dealer tomorrow...
I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow for round one of getting my issues fixed.
I have fiberglass all over the back of my car from the glass pack of the muffler blowing out, and my cruise control isn't working.
Does anyone (the lemon people more specifically) have any input on what they did to explain everything. I mean I know I go there and tell them the problem and try to fix it like a big boy, but I'd just like to hear about other's experiences with getting service when there's known issues with these cars.
Thanks in advance.

i worked for a dealership for a little while and took a lemon law class taught by GM reps and from what i remember, you must have 3 repair attempts for the same issue...usually with the dealership i was at, if 2 attempts were made and the problem had them stumped, they would call GM tech line and they would walk the techs through repairs. If that didnt work, then a GM rep will most likely have to come out and look at the car before the dealer took the car back...
GM Posts bulletins on Dealerworld with all of the problems occuring with vehicles...so if enough of the same problems occur, a flag goes up and GM will say "hey..this is happening to a lot of cars" and will look into it and deternine if this may need to become a recall with the vehicle (usually recalls are only if there is something wrong that is a safety issue, though) ....Dealerworld also lets the techs know how the problems were fixe with other vehicles....so as you can imagine its time consuming.
What sucks in a lemon law case is, you might have to go to court...so document everything because the dealership will have documentation of all repairs and maintanance....
your car might even be at the deslership for a while before a fix is made....they would rather keep the car for a few weeks then give it back to you not completely fixed and have it come back. <---- that is what truly sucks....because if you bitch and want your car back, the dealer can legally say you did not let them attempt to properly diagnose the problem.....so even if you have to leave the car there for a month,.... do it..... You will get screwed in the long run if you takie it back before they fix it.
dealerships and manufacturers do not want to buy cars back left and right...even if there are a lot of problems....they loose money and they dont want that..They teach you to buy the customers time...which i think is bullshit....they will try to avoid the lemon law at all costs.
Hope this little bit of insite helps...like i said ive def. seen a lot of lemon law cases...very few making it to court.... good luck Jeff.

thanks for the input everyone, i forgot to add it's also being taken in for the idling issue. i'll be heading over there in a couple hours. hopefully once it gets in there for service they'll be able to fix the 3 issues. i really don't want to have to take it as far as the lemon law, but if it happens i read that i can refuse a replacement vehicle from Chevy or GM or whatever, and in that case i'd go back to something japanese or german.
the reason i got this car was because it was brand new and had a warranty and didn't have a lot of problems from what i was able to find in my research. now, it's had more problems in a month than my Z ever did (which were none) in about a year and a half. end rant.
