Going from 0.043 to 0.039 gap plug??

I went from : Iridium IX LTR5IX-11 Gap : 0.043 (Cobalt 2.2 Stock Plug)

To : G-Power Platinum BKR6EGP Gap : 0.039 (Cobalt SS plugs)

I just switched tonight. Will this affect anything major or will I be fine with these new plugs?

Car seems to run fine after taking it for a spin and the AFR's are all the same.

The only difference I noticed is when I rev a little in park, the car crackles and pops a lot more loudly with these new plugs.

It's only a difference of a sheet of paper, 0.004. Plugs are usually given a +/- 0.005-7 tolerance. Even if you had to gap the plugs with a gap tool, it's going to be between 0.035 and 0.045. so you are good.

Bad Quality vid but it gives you the idea...

The car crackles and pops like it has no muffler now. I love it.

Dude, thats like the worst video ever made, The sound cut out when you got in your car. At least for me.

If the car is popping. THATS BAD! Im labeling you a ******* for not gapping your plugs correctly, until this clears up.

i'm guessing it's fine
I changed my plugs in my 2.4 for Irridium IX Racing plugs that were meant exactly for my car.
My original gap was 0.044, and I checked the new ones I got and they were at 0.038

Drove 2000 km's with those and haven't noticed any problems yet

If you read my mods you would know I'm running a shorty hearder with a huge 3 inch downpipe.

Thats why it crackles and pops.

I'm just stating that after changing out to new plugs the noise it makes is even louder than with old worn plugs.
