Okay well you should get the TB if you have the mani, and no **** you lost bottom end, you need a ******* tune.. Are you stupid?

Actually, the 2.4 manifold is only a valid upgrade for TOP END. You LOSE bottom end even WITH a tune due to the runner design and the fact that our cars don't have VVT to make on the fly timing adjustments at low rpm to compensate.

if anyone is making an uneducated statement its you.

And I go to the dyno after every mod. It's how I know what I'm doing is making a difference, or are you gonna argue me on that point too?

dude you're priceless. vvt is not the only thing makes the 2.4mani benefit the car in terms of performance. there's a whole dynamic there you're missing. you my friend should have a really good day.......just priceless.

Actually with a tune, you lose little to now low end, and let me assure you, with the tune, you lose so little that I guarantee you would never even notice besides with a dyno.

But, the point is, the tiny ******* bit you lose down low does not even compare to the gain you get up top. Not even close.

For me it was enough to sell my 2.4 Mani. Others it may vary.

There are mixed results from year to year when it comes to the mani upgrade. some people swear by it. Others don't.

It's all personal preference.

and that bumped redline just adds to the fun. a set of those new zzp springs would allow for 7k easy without valve float...................hmmmmmmmmmmm

Spanky, where are you coming from saying the 2.4 mani isn't worth while unless you have the 2.4 tb?

that was based off the op's experince with the 2.4 mani and no tune as well as the fact that the 2.4tb and tune really wakes the ****** up. if you're getting the 2.4 mani as a stand-alone intake mod without 2.4tb and tune it hurts as much as it helps. no love lost.

hey don't go takin me at face value.

I am genuinely curious as to how low the numbers will be for a 2.2 with stock intake man and stock tb mated to a shorty with a 3 inch downpipe. Lmao

why would you even consider a 3" downpipe on an essentially stock N/A car?
