goIng supercharged :)

Exactly as stated I'd just like to know what some opinions are as to if I'd need a new ecu and what type of pullies. And also what's a safe boost limit to set with the stock internals? I def plan to change them but need the money first haha. Thanks guys

not gonna be a dick. but try the search button man. but as far as your questions.

your good on any pully as long as you have supporting mods. (exhaust, cooling, fuel, etc)
as far as geting another ECU thats up to you but you dont need to. just make sure you get a good tune. well the only tune for us is trifecta. ill let some other guys chime in.

Also i would highly think about upgrading your clutch and flywheel.

Ya I'm buying a used kit that came off a supercharged ss and comes with all mods needed with it intercooler, fuel injectors, manifold, etc. Thanks for some advice guys. One things for sure tho I'm not going to do a turbo, I'm just a supercharged kind of guy haha. Any ideas on how much boost stock internals can go? And name of places I can buy the new pistons, rods, valve springs, etc. Thanks yall

check with the supported vendors on here. they got some good deals on studs, pistons, rods, etc. and the stock internals from what i hear are good tilll about like 250? i think. maybe im wrong. but i wouldnt wanna push it to far past that. and at 250HP you got a Nice DD and a powerful car when you want. turbo is the better way to go if your wanting more power. but SC is easier and cheaper.

I'm supercharged... here is two useful guides I used:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/hunters-how-install-m62-2-2l-cobalt-127891/
&
There was another one I don't have the link for but its in teh 2.2 section called Tell your grandma its a supercharged sedan, that was helpful too for parts list.

Keep in mind, its not just the parts you have in hand, you are going to run into a problem with missing parts & parts not mentioned or overseen that you may not realize!

Ya understood haha. Thank or all the help everyone! And yes I'm staying supercharged because it's cheaper an is still my dd so I'm not looking for a race car just more power. And is 250hp really the limit for stock? If so I just might do internals first cause I'm n/a at about 200 so I should probably get internals first before I mess something up haha. Thanks for all the help guys!

300hp before the drivetrain is pushing it, 280 would be safe, im telling you hunterkillers how to is what you need to follow, enless you want to shell out for some new internals about 2.5k

Ya I'll search his how to up. Thanks! And I meant 200 bhp and 169whp using cat back exhaust, injen intake, 2.4 mani, pulstar pulse plugs, and I run it on royal purple oil. Got it dynoed 2 weeks ago it amazed me honestly not bad I thought. But a supercharger kit would be beast haha

Ya no lie I kid you not. My car has always seemed to have a peppy engine comepared to other stock Balts. I race my friend who had a 07 cobalt ls stick and I beat him by a car length to 90 it was strange and that was all stock both cars were. I have a 08 ls. I love I personally!

i sprayed a 100 shot through my car (12 bottles) the shop took my motor apart and i asked if there were any signs of any power adders or nitrous with the pistons. he said no none at all they look normal.
