sorry, work gets slow and i get bored from time to time. and i get alot of crap for having a chicks car even though the cobalt is in the same boat. another cool fact, only 8% of cougars in america are stick...losers! lol.

also, don't get me wrong, i myself have a newfound appreciation of the cobalt after this site and a few of my buddies owning SS/SCs and now a few with TCs.

You NEED to check your state and local laws with this. Here in MD the only cop who can stop you for a "too loud" exhaust is a MD state Trooper, SGT or higher and he MUST have a DB meeter and be certified in its use and the meeter must have been calibrated within 6 months of him useing it on your car. In MD only 2 DB meeters exist so the chances of getting a legit ticket are RARE! They try to hand out fixit tickets BUT if you KNOW THE LAW YOU CAN BEAT THE COP at his own game.

LOL its cool man . no problem at all. Thats pretty funny about the 8% thing. I feel special now. A few years back when I was looking to buy a car w/ my g/f at the time. ( we were both buying new cars ) We thought it would be cute to get the same car. She was going to get the automatic .. i think it was v6 and I was going to get the 5 speed which I think they only made in l4. It was actually pretty peppy for a stock car. I obviously didn't end up getting it and I had a 2002 Cavi z24 instead.

I just thought I'd throw in that I drove the manual w/ apparently such a low production rate.

yea ..i tried that calibration trick in court once over a speeding ticket. the judge looked at me w/ one of those. Wow are you serious kind of look. Like a police officer doesn't have the means of "procuring" a document stating their machine works. Needless to say I paid money lol. BUT my 145 in a 25 got dropped to 55 in a 25 ..yay.. I have had the best luck w/ reducing retardly stupid speeding tickets. I can't complain too much.

My only gripe was when I was younger ( only 23 now ) but when I was 18 I got pulled over for stupid stuff like rolling through a stop sign. EVERYBODY and their mother does rolling stops especially w/ gas prices being so high my cars not coming to a complete stop unless I'll hit something if I dont .

Yeah just tell whatever cop pulls you over for loud exhaust that you want it checked with a dB meter before you agree to the ticket. If you have a full exhaust cat muffler etc... and he doesn't check it with a meter and you take the ticket to court not only will the judge let you go he'll make the cop look like a *******... it like getting a speeding ticket with no radar reading.

Good point Cobalt TSX. Its one of those I'm going to pull you over for a loud exhaust so I can peak in your car to smell for WEED or Alcohol type stops. Same as rolling stops and other BS things people get pulled over for.

Stop posting if you are just going to talk ****. It's cobalt drivers like you that give us as bad a rep as SRT and Civic drivers.

And yes I read your attempt at recovery.

Lol. My buddy got a ticket for "red" neons and when he took it to court he showed the judge a pic of his purple neons and it was thrown out.
