Header for the 2007 2.2

Ok so Header is gonna be my next part to buy but I was wondering which ones work with the 2007 model. I searched the other ehader threads but none were real clear about this SAI or whatever and which brands allowed for it. How do I know if my car has SAI what do I look for? Also the Pacesetter seems to be the one I really like but do I really have to cut it to fit it up to the stock exhaust? I changed my exhaust a littel by taking the sections of pipe between teh Cat and the Resonator and welding in 2 3/4 inch pipe to match the downpipe or whatever its called. But all the flanges and bolts stuff is still stock and in the stock locations.

To start off I've yet to see an 07 with SAI. Chances that you have it are probly 0%. Easiest way to tell is look at your airbox and if you see a hose coming out of it on the right side and going towards the back of the motor then you have it.

ALL HEADERS for the COBALT fit EACH AND EVERY COBALT. The 2.0's and 2.2's and 2.4's all have the EXACT SAME bolt battern etc...

The pacesetter you will have to cut and weld a new piece (supplied with the header) for it to properly work. You can install the header yourself and drive to a muffler shop and have them weld it for cheap.

And edit to add a question. What "reflash" do you have? Theres yet to be one for any 07 2.2's. Lucky you HPT is coming in the new year.

And 2.75" exhaust is KILLING your car. 2.5" is about the highest you should go on an N/A 4 cylinder

Its not a true reflash. It is a Governor raise thing I got from my tech buddy. Raised it to 120mph.

The 2.75 inch is actually the same flow as a 2.5inch because I used a press bend technique on my pipes rather then mandrel bent. I am seeing the same 12hp gain over stock as others with the Corsa Sport.

Which means he had a GM tech that was nice enough to change his tire speed rating in his flash program allowing the higher speed limit.

Here is the info on SAI:
Secondary Air Injection on late model 2006 L61's

I have yet to see a 2007 car with it. For that matter I have yet to see a 2007 car.

Halfcent its really easy to do. IF i wasnt to much of a lazy ass i'd do it to mine, but I never find time to do so.

Some people even get lucky enough to have an idiot tech put in the wrong calibration

oh and to blacky- go for pacesetter, its the only longtube/midtube w/e header out really for our cars. its so big compared to the stock manifold. i think it would work well with your setup. but if you do read my thread, dont use that gasket maker **** it tells you to use!! it sucks! i want to meet up sometime and hear your exhaust. damnt i wish i could make it to a meet. i want eveyrone to hear my sweet ass exhaust too, my vids dont come close to how awesome it sounds
