I have a K&N SRI.
I have no tune @ this time. I may tune it later but not right now.
I does sound nice with a full system swap.

I have pictures I need to go through and I will post them up here soon. Videos will follow after a bit of driving around to break the system in.

Hey peoples,
Here is how I installed my ZZP Exhaust. This Part 1 (resonator and back)

I just used ramps for my car.

Here is the stock exhaust:

This is where I stopped for part 1 (where the down pipe and resonator connect)

This is the bent part over the axle that causes the system to not come out without it being cut.

I cut it right here with a sawzall.

After the cut...

There are four of the holder (two between the muffler and rear bumper, one in front of the muffler, and then one in the "s" bend)

Also undo these bolts and that whole section will will be free of the car.

With it all out now.

That concludes part 1... The install and header/DP will follow soon. Thank you for being patient for me to get all this done and reading my thread.

Here is how I installed my ZZP Exhaust. This is Part 2 (resonator and back still)

This the system laid out in the grass

There are three clamps that go between each section. They have two bolts each easily loosened or tightened with a ratchet and a socket.

This is it on. (This maybe simple for most of you but some have never seen this before.)

The rubber hangers are need for the rehanging of the system.

...like in this picture. This is looking forward and the muffler will go to this end of the pipe after this.

The seal between the resonator and the downpipe, new bolts and nuts, and resonator. The seal, bolts and nuts came new with the system.

I put the nuts and seal on first then slid the resonator over on to bolts and tightened them down. Since the resonator is not being held up on the other end used some bricks and cardboard or a rag to hold it up.

This next bit was tricky for me. I put each clamp that would be holding the piping together in between each section but did not tighten them down. (Easier said than done btw...) This way I could get each one in and in place and move it about to get it right and lined up. Then tightened it down each clamp one at a time.

This is the resonator bolted to the downpipe and clamped to the "s" pipe. Plus the "s" piping clamped to the bend over the axle

After all this was lined up and tight I slipped the muffler in and hung it by the two hangers. That is the end of the "resonator back" section. (This would be the same if you did catback system. There would be three more bolts and another seal between the header and the downpipe.)

Here is how I installed my ZZP Exhaust. This is Part 3 (header and downpipe)

If you read the prior parts then you might be wondering why I did it this way...? Well I got the header/DP combo that camps only to each other. I had to take the system apart and then put the new section in each day so I could get to work. That is why it was done this way.

First take off the heat shield. The THREE nuts are visible here. One at the bottom facing up and the other two are on the engine facing backwards.

The heat shield removed...

Some of the bolts are shown here...

More of the bolts...

These are the bolts laid out as they are on the engine. (Left looking forward of the engine is on the top of the photo.)

The header and DP out of the car.

There are three bolts between the header and DP that I could not get undone. If you can't get them off the, whole piping will fit out between and firewall and the engine.

Header and DP comparisons

This is the clamp between the ZZP header and ZZP DP combo.

Down in the hole where the DP was.

The studs where the header goes on the back of the engine.

The same thing from under the car.

The installation is easy. When you put the nuts on tighten them in a star pattern. I did not torque them down to a certain value. I don't remember what it is at the moment but I could not over do it with my arm so... I tightened them up and then retightened them where the leaks are. Leaks will make you car sound like a Harley motorcycle almost. Tighten clamps, nuts and/or bolts as needed.

Thank you for reading!!...

A short video for those of you who wanted it. I really like how it sounds on a N/A engine.

Looks like I will have to get the ZZP cat-back. I was wondering how it sounded. I have the Bad-Mab header, ZZP catted DP, and LSJ stock cat-back. I had Pacesetter header and Exhaust Depot catless before and it sounded good, but it was too loud and too much drone. I like how the stock LSJ is pretty quiet, but yours sounds extremely quiet at idle so I'm assuming cruising speed isn't bad, WOT might be a little loud though? I can deal with that as long as the drone isn't bad.

I know exactly what you mean with sounding like a Harley...I installed my header/DP 2 months ago and I need to go back and re-tighten the header. I'm going to swap out the head/header gasket though too.

Sounds good and looks great.

Their header reminds me of the Pacesetter header. Just with a V-Band clamp instead of the shitty ball flange deal.

It is a bit louder than it sounds in the video. It is louder when you accelerate obviously but not bad at all. It is loud enough you can hear it in the car but not loud enough it drives me nuts. It is a well balanced sound for me.
I was half temped to just hook up the headers and start the car up and hear what it sounded like. Haha! Once I got everything hooked up and tighened up is has has been great!

wow that sounds great! wish that if i got header/dp my tsudo would sound like that, but it will probably be too loud, that resonator on the catback is HUGE and thats exhaust what 4/6 cylinder cars need when running a full exhaust setup, to sound good.

Thanks man!! If I had a second car and more time I would have installed the whole system and then played around with it. Resonator delete, muffler delete, ect… Just so I could hear how it sounds from the same exact engine. I am one of those experiment types.

I can get some up for you. It will be a few days though. The paint as it is in the pictures is burnt off. I have not tried to wipe it off or clean them or anything, but I will get you some.

so lets say i get the header/dp combo and it sounds like loud garbage with my 2.25" tsudo....Do i add a second resonator or replace the one thats their with a larger one?

I want a good sound, not overly loud and ZERO rasp, the car literally sounds perfect now, wish header and dp wouldnt make it loud and would just keep it the same.

and im fine with a 2.25" exhaust right? I doubt 2.5" is necessary on a 4cyl .

You can do 2.5, but yeah, 2.25 is all you really need. The only way I would really say to go 2.5 is if you plan to SC it later.
