i'm guessing it's because the company never specifically tried it out on a 2.2, so they don't want to be held responsible in case it doesn't fit or something. but it should be interchangeable, all the bolt paterns are the same.

 

ok guess the only way is to try it out haha...thank you you have been very helpful...about the downpipe they usually come in 2.5 and 3" collectors, do you get one based on the size of header and cat-back openings???

 

don't get the 3". 2.5 is more than enough. and you're welcome! but yea, you want to match everything up.

I love my ZZP header/ downpipe combo. way better than the weak ass stock one, that blew to pieces

 

thanks for the pics, thats what the zzp header looks like?? Did you have any install problems or did it bolt right on?? and is that painted or ceramic coated?? oh and do you need to buy the collector gasket also?? Is that a 3" downpipe??

ok.. that is the ZZP header, high-temp paint, with a 2.5" downpipe. the gasket is included (not the manifold gasket though... it was $14.00 USD at my dealer)

no install problems at all.. header bolted right in.. then the downpipe, no probs.. welded that to my catback and i was good to go.

 

did u get the mid length header and downpipe combo from zzp??? or the shorty header??
