help with using solid lifters in my l61 head

I have a 2.2 ecotec and im using solid lifter as they aslo came with shims but the shims are too large and if I shave them down there would be really not much left and would just smash bc the specs that cam with them are .0015 to .004 clearance between the rocker and cam which is very small do these clearances sound right? my machine shop says normally the clearances on other heads he has done are larger? and also the only way to get that right is to raise the valve higher in the head which isn't cheap any ideas or ways that anyone has installed this would be appreciated thank

The comp lobe profile does not play well with solid lifters. You'll eat the rockets at high rpm.
Stick with stock hydraulics; they act as a cushion.
