high idle help!

yesterday i changed my cai air filter and then seen how dirty my tb was so i took it off and cleaned it but now my car is idleing like 1500-2000 and at times it reaches 3000
its very annoying right now i can put my car in 2nd gear and let the clutch out with no gas and it will drive its self down the road and even up some hills. last night i let it climb a hill by its self in 2nd to show a friend and it did but barely and it started to idle normal again around 800 but as soon as i started to drive it started doing to again anyone know what i can do to fix this issue?

i tryed unhooking the battery tryed turning the key with out the car on to open nd close the tb but still nothing works

possibly a vacuum leak, or a clogged MAF(mass air flow) sensor most likely. Check all your vacuum hoses for your intake make sure there is no loose or broken connections, check all the wiring to your throttle body and MAF sensor, and clean your MAF sensor.

Also does it give an error code at all? when that happened to me it gave me an error code.

i dont think its a leak or clogged maf a buddy of mine has a cobalt so we put his dirty tb on my car just to see if it would change and it did it was almost back to normal (his isnt as dirty as mine was) is there anyway to reset the ecu besides disconnecting the battery i was reading that the ecu needs to be reflashed but the gm dealer will rape you in costs to do that where i live
