i had those on my 03 cavalier when i had that...i took my mirrors off...they are still hanging in my shed...but the downside of the mirrors are....
1. the image is way way smaller and more bubbled
2. they are advertised as "bolt on" but you do have to upsize the mounting holes
3. wiring is a bitch trying to get the wires through the door and into the wire boot
4. make sure that everything you took out of the stock mirrors goes back in order on the new mirrors. if not..they tend to have a gap in them
5. any little bump and they crack...i have a big chunk of plastic missing from my passenger side mirror
6. wiring is a bit difficult, they advertise all those colors but i only had two, which involved different wiring schemes...they came with no diagram

advantages
1. they look good
2. bright as all hell, i had mine hooked to a toggle instead of the turnsignal lamps, kinda like another set of headlights lol
3. people ask about them
4. a lil more aerodynamic than stock

hopefully that answers it

so more less it's a pain to install them. So then u need to take off the door panel to install them which is a even bigger pain. anyone know of any mirrors that are cheap and easy to install? i would buy a stock one but i dont want to have to deal with painting it.

instead of buying a stock mirror to paint...how about just getting the trim kit for the mirrors...by far cheaper

http://www.chevrolet.com/cobalt/accessories/

about mid-way down the page...
