What about 5 spd manual ls coupe? I really havent seen any acceleration times for those stock

I've never seen someone slander a car in such a way that makes it almost hilarious to read. It's the most biased read I have seen yet from Car & Driver. That is also an 06 Cobalt. Few more features for the 07 would really change the minds of people then with things to consider.

New Radio
New Steering Wheel
Much improved Power Train Warranty (Assuming GM will actually fix it..)
Slightly more power in the drivetrain (Increase in HP)
Remote Auto Start option (Automatic Trans)
Better building Materials then previous 05-06 models

Of course though, these options will be looked at as a pathetic attempt by GM to make the car seem *better*

0-60MPH in 7.9 to 8.2 seconds.

General rule of thumb would be to shave .01 second or .02 for each accleration 0-*
