Make sure your maf is connected/seated all the way. Go over all your hose clamps and make sure they are tight.

i dont get why i would need MAF cleaner. after being mad that i cant get my intake installed, i put the old one back in and everything went back to normal. my car is working perfectly.... so then i took it out and put the new one in again and the same **** happened... it turned on shook a little and turned off. there is absolitely nothing wrong with the MAF because it works with my old one... all the hoses are on tight.. ive even tried leaving the negative part of my battery unplugged for like an hour to reset, and STILL the same thing happens... i feel as if life hates me lol.... if anyone notices something ive done wrong here please let me know lol ...
im even putting up a pic too.

nevermind guys i found out the problem. i put the pipe where the MAF sensor goes on the wrong side. so the MAF sensor was sitting upside down. i didnt think that would be a problem, but for some reason it is super important that it is lol. thanks all for help!

So it was backwards not upside down but we understand lol. So the air entering the motor was not being metered causing a large vacuum leak like condition. Makes perfect sense as the ECM didn't know what to do so it went lean
Interesting as I have never paid attention to the mass air being open on one side and closed on the other. Cleaned a billion of these and never paid no attention DOE
