get it. you'll notice a little loss in low range torque but honestly if youre modding your car you're not going to be looking for power in the low rev considering anyone who gets on it is only going to be in low rev for 1st gear.

all in all it really wakes up teh car.

It's really not that difficult of an install on a 1 to 10 scale I would give it a 4.5 theres just a lot of disassembly to get to the old manifold. But all in all it is worth it, probably the best bang for the buck mod besides cams or N2O.

One thing to consider, you're going to have to modify the brake booster hose a bit. It's located in a different spot on the 2.4 manifold, and you'll need a slightly longer hose. Not sure of the part number, but I believe if you go to a GM parts department and get a brake booster hose for a SS/NA, it should work.

Or just go down to Autozone and pick up an 18" length of 15/32" hose, cost me all of 4 dollars. Put the break booster end on it and plug it in up by the drivers side firewall. But then take the other end and put it DIRECTLY over the vacuum nipple on the 2.4 mani, hose clamp it in place and move on. DO NOT try to use the old "QD" hose clamp thingy that held the vacuum line on the 2.2 mani, it will drive you insane, trust me I went that route first, spend the 95 cents on a hose clamp.

Took me maybe 45 minutes to do and it was my first one. Check out Maven's how-to in the how-to section, it walks you right through it perfectly.

and enjoy, it really does wake the car up.

I ordered mine as 3 parts from gmpartsdirect.com
If you go that right you need the part numbers:

12587878: Intake Manifold, 1st design LE5 $125ish
12600729: Seal, Throttle Body $10ish
12589516: Seal, Crankcase vent $10ish

And those are the approx costs I paid. Took about 2 weeks for handling and shipping, but the savings was worth it! And this assumes you re-use the individual intake port gaskets, be careful with them and they are totally reusable if the engine is relatively new, mine had 65000 miles on it when I did mine and they were in pristine shape.

So I've heard good thingsabout putting the 2.4 Manila on the 2.2. But two questions, the stock throttle body fits on it right? An lastly I'm going to buy a trifecta tune after, will this help it even more? Thanks guys

I've also noticed that it said for 05-07... I have an 08 and it said that the 08 had a different throttle body on it, anyone have an 08 and have done it? If so tell me how you liked it.

I believe Maven wrote the howto when he installed it on his 08 so should be fine. and yes the original TB migrates to the 2.4 mani, you move where one bolt is and it's a perfect fit.

I'm planning to finish my exhaust and possibly order up the 2.4 fuel injector rail and have a tune built for it and then put it on, i've read it goes into limp if you don't tune for it, but if I'm going to tune I just as well have EVERYTHING done before I pay the 300 bucks since I can't get it redone for free.

Not to thread jack or anything but I have question why are you gonna install the LE5 fuel rail??? Your stock one will give you all the fuel you could possibly want unless you plan on doing a big build like going FI or building the block up.

also not to assist in the thread jacking, but yeah I'm planning to go turbo so it's just as well to do it now rather than later on the fuel rail.

To my understanding to go supercharged you will need the 2.0 LSJ intake manifold to go supercharged.
