Ok, i heard that number 32 injectors off of a 2.0L SS/SC can be put on a 06' 2.2L, is this true? If it is where could i purchase these injector's and would i need a tune?

 

yes, it is true, but you need to tune the car as well. you can go as large as 60lb injectors. the 2.2 ECM is capped at 52lb injectors, how ever i have 60lbers in my 2.2 and vince was able to tune for them. you just set the table to run a little lean because the 60lbers are going to let more fuel flow. he commanded mine to run a 12.8 AFR but because of the 52lb cap and im running 60's, my AFR Wideband is reading 11.6 a WOT.

the advantage of bigger injectors is that you can reduce the duty that is placed on the injectors. If you are running a fully bolted 2.2 plus port and polished head and cams, then you will need bigger injectors so that you dont max out the smaller injectors. if you max out the injectors you run a bigger risk of blowing the motor up.

 

go to the classifieds, they sell for 30-50shipped all the time, but u should know they do not add power, they do not do anything to your car..injectors supply more fuel when u have more air...a n/a car wont need a injector upgrade...unless u have some f/i or internal work...waste of money

 

what do you think a larger throtle body, a port and polished head, and cams do???? they let more air in, more air in means you need more fuel. if you have stock 2.2 injectors, you can max them out quick as shizzz once you start opening up the air flow like that.
