Question Ion 2.2 guys, quick question?

A friends brother in law is in the process of getting a 2005 Ion 2.2 sedan. I am thinking of upgrading my exhaust from the Pacesetter cat-back to a DC Sports and selling him my Pacesetter. Both cars get the same part # for the Pacesetter on GravanaTuning.com. Any thoughts that this may not fit his Ion???

The exhaust might fit, the ion has more engine bay space than the cobalt. But I know for a fact, that the GMPP cobalt intake won't swap over to the ion because the locations of the intake boxes are different. There might be a prob, but I would like to think that the company would have researched any differences.

exaust parts are identical. it will fit. He might have to bend the hanger on the muffler to fit the ion's location, but it will fit

I've heard that Cobalts were a little shorter but can't confirm that.

there was a guy who had a DC Sports installed for a Cobalt on his Ion and the hanger locations needed to be modified. basically if you take it to an exhaust shop they can make it work...

Right, I was more concerned with the lengths and bends underneath the car.

I remember somebody putting a SS/SC GMPP exhaust onto their Ion Redline, and it was a bout 2 inches shorter and most of the hangars ligned up.
