my 06 2.2, no secondary air, i put a K&N typhoon on it a little while back, iv read alot about people having problems with oiling the filters causing a CEL, cleaned mine and oiled it and have not got a CEL yet. just thought i would share my info

 

You don't have to clean it when it's new

 

obviously not lol its not new anymore its been on for a bit

 

O. I see now. I thought you cleaned it when it was new. Mine has been on for like 25,000 miles and I haven't cleaned it yet

 

i generally keep mine clean, but my drive way is gravel and were i work gets pretty dusty in the parking lot, (road crew) so i like to clean my reg,

 

It's sri btw lol.

 

yeah, either way i like to try to keep my vehicles taken care of
