Wow that sucks. Just got my car running again today.

I don't get why they stopped support, they must not be true car people. There all about easy tunes for quicker money.

If you do go with the fic keep us updated, good luck!

It's either f/ic or get a pcm flashed by someone with a close enough tune to my setup. I'll have to think if I know anyone with a tuned 05/06...

The f/ic by itself still leaves things like the speed limiter, rev limiter, torque management (if any on a manual), vats, etc. Also I still need to look if the lsj throttle body works on the stock L61 tune. I don't think it does but I don't remember honestly. I have zero tuning experience but so I guess baby steps are in order unless I can find a local spot to tune the f/ic once it's installed.

There are the moral implications of copying a tune..

A local guy uses the aem FIc on slingshots and said he could tune me with it no problem.

I have a 7k or 7200 rev limit and like a 160 speed. 2.4tb if you need my flash I could try to email it to you if you can get your vin changed in the ecu to mine?

Honestly I bet Kyle has a base tune for a m62. I might have one somewhere also.

I'm currently having issues with too much boost for my maf

Damn, sorry for the late reply. How much boost are you running--or when was it too much boost? We should talk about the tune but I'd prefer not to do it on an open forum for obvious reasons.

I'm personally thinking about going with a swap or MegaSquirt sometime in the near future so I'll probably end up going with MegaSquirt at least until I can build an engine for a swap.

I can run 12psi on the 256 before the afr's start to climb up from 12.2 I think I've reached the fuel pump limits because anymore boost it doesn't keep up.

but I've ran up to 22psi and seen 13.8afr and haven't blew up yet.

I'll be getting a walbro installed with the fuel pump rewire. Hope it might help.

The 05s had a weaker pump and mine was an early 06 so it could be possible, or the 2.2s got a smaller one?

Also, FYI, Trifecta will still tune the L61's you just have to ask for it. Steve told me they took it off the website because they just hadn't had any requests for it in awhile.

I think they will only tune you if youve already bought their tune. No new customers.

I asked Steven about it on the phone and he said they are still tuning 2.2's. *shrug*

Yeah Mike's the one that emailed me back. I just replied asking why and informing him of my plans. Really rather not replace my ECU or engine. Hopefully they'll hear the money talkin haha
