Launching Question

I own a 06' Cobalt Lt that I've have had for about a year now and have done numerous mod's to it since then (header, exhaust, CAI, etc.) However, I decided to gun it on a nice open road not to long back and noticed that when I did the Traction Control kicked in and really pissed me off. I don't recall this happening when my car was stock and I am not aware of any ways to disable this. I've been researching it a little but haven't found a definite answer and was wondering if someone could help me out.
My second question is when I do decide to go WOT at anytime I feel a pull in my car and it gets much harder to turn, almost as if the car is very stiff. I am assuming it is from the sudden forward momentum and was wondering if there was a part I could install in my car to prevent this and make the car handle better when I do put the pedal to the floor?

Thanks for any input!!

Your expiriancing torque steer. I don't belive you can do anything about that.

If you have an auto you can put it in low and it will disable the traction control, or one notch on the E-break will do it also

No problem! And thanks here's a couple more pics!

And I have SSC springs sitting right next to me. I just need to find time to put them on. Probably this weekend.

Wider tires would help a little.

Thats just how front wheel drive cars are, there is no way around it.

If you use the search Halfcent did a good write up on launching an automatic. Take a look at it.

I wonder if there is a way to trick the car into thinking the ebrake is enabled without pulling it. I suppose the only other way would be to pull the fuse on TC
