little bit of warranty questions
little bit of warranty questions
Alright when i bought my car i had the intention of modifying it. I told them that because i was wondering about performance stuff. All they said was it will be ok as long as it doesn't mess with the cat. Now that i am replacing my downpipe with a STOCK SS/SC downpipe..will that void that warranty? If something were to happen. CEL or whatever
Seeing as it is a stock GM part, just put on a different car. You think i'll have any problems. I mean from what i know my dealer guys are pretty cool. I had a nice scratch from my accident that they buffed out for free and waxed and vacuumed my car, rotated my wheels everything. I mean i have heard people saying..they'll bring there car in and it'll come out dirtier than before.
So what you think?

hahah you can do a full exhaust whatever, you can go catless if you'ld like. as long as when you take it in for a warranty repair, your ehaust (or whatever other mod you've done) isn't the direct cause of the part failure thats being fixed under warranty. for example if you put an intake and a header, downpipe, and cat back on. and the next week, you left rear shock decides to crack. not related, must be fixed under warranty.
i know that..but mostly if i have a CEL from that..which i dont think i will seeing as its a stock GM part.
i was mostly just saying if the worst would happen..or whatever
im pretty sure in wisconsin a car can't leave a shop if it doesn't have a proper cat...my friend had to have a cat put on his car before it left the shop
