LNF is need of assistance from a 2.2 brother

hey all, as stated in the title, I have an LNF balt. but I need help from you guys. can one of you measure the diameter of your alternator pulley for me? Im getting 2.5" with mine, I want to see if yours is the same diameter.

it should be the same they just spin in the other direction.

both the lnf turbo and the 2.2 use the same belt routing and direction. the LNF uses a different alt as far as i can tell, different part#'s at least. just want to make sure the pulley is the same diameter

yeah its the same size the alt can only recharge one way on the ss/sc the 2.2 alt charges bolth ways. im spinning mine backwards on a smooth pulley.

he's talking about the LNF

but YES it should be the same.. i'm not positive but I can check later tonight as I have one in my room

all non-LSJ ecotecs use the same belt setup AFAIK. I imagine they would all use the same part numbers across the board, from tensioners to alternators to pulleys, soo...

according to acdelco and various online catalogs, the LNF uses a different alternator than the 2.2l fwiw. granted, im sure the alt pulley may be the same, but I am double checking.

while true supposedly the 2.2 and 2.4 used to use a different alternator as well the difference is the 2.4 one puts out like 5 more amps or something so it could be something like that.. I can't find my other damn alternator pulley right now sooo idk what the exact measurement is .. fail on me

I can tell you that the 2.2/2.4 and early 2.0s all use the same crank pulley, tensioner and alternators, there was a change to the alternator at some point in the model year, but i dont know that it included a change in pulley diameter.
