what would make car lose power,it was runing good ,nnow it will not pick up speed?

 

What year is it, how many miles on it, and are you pressing the gas pedal down?

i was looking at your other posts and that "3rd wire" is the lead acid breather. the optima you got is a sealed battery so it does not need that breather. and your description is so vague. it could be something as simple as a bad batch of gas

with an optima you will be more than fine. 2 optimas is overkill unless you have something crazy. my friend has an optima yellow top with 4 kicker 12's and his lights dont even dim

ok, you have to be more descriptive. what did it used to do that it doesn't do now. how are you guaging performance? maybe you've just gotten used to the car? i had a 2.2 for about 2 years, and it's not that fast, even with full boltons. when i first got the car, it felt like it was stupid fast because before that i had a taurus station wagon that barely did 80mph. but after a few months i got used to it, and it wasn't so fast anymore.

could be that, or a million and 1 other things. but you need to give more info if you expect any kind of helpful answer.
