I have a 06 Chevy cobalt ls with the 2.2l ecotec I recently put a turbo on it was pushing 8 psi when I origanally turboed it it was pushing 80 psi oil pressure cold at idle I have had it turboed for about 3000 miles maybe a Lil more just city driveing not for long periods of time then I started it recently and only 40psi cold at idle start when I rev it it easyly gets past 60 psi but I don know I was planing on rebuilding it full internals but I don wanna have this issue after the rebuild any info to what u think is loosing my oil pressure I think I could have messed up my bearing cleareances but not sure anyone had this issue??

cylinder head pressure reads lower. it doesn't sound like you have an issue at all. you really should be getting oil pressure readings from the block

What oil? With hard use some crappy oil cold have had viscosity break down in the 3k miles with a turbo car. Viscosity breakdown would cause lower oil pressure. Change to oil and see if the pressure goes back to normal.

What he said. Definition of pressure is the resistance to flow. Higher viscosity higher pressure. I deal with this on an everyday basis being a plastic engineer.

No ticking or knocking but it just started to rev when I started it so I killed it but Idk should I just say **** it and start my rebuild early? And tear it apart? And check my bearing cleareances
