I am wondering the same exact thing. The brakes are a little "light" on the LT, even the 3LT that I test drove (and may buy) seemed to stop a little slow unless you really slammed the brakes.

Also, how can a car with only Front Brakes have 4-wheel ABS? My sales guy told me it does, but I dont believe it.

technically i think you could have abs on drums...just need the abs controller to regulate the brake line pressure and make it pulsate instead of just pure pressure

drum brakes are pretty much as good as the front disc brakes... why would you get rid of it for that reason? that's really, really stupid.

and since when does a cobalt not have rear brakes?

I would just get the stuff off a wrecked cobalt ss You should change the front at the same time because of the bolt pattern difference and they are bigger you would need the hubs rotors calipers and mounts and the park brake cable stuff.I think the brake master cylinder is different also.

You can still do the conversion.

Ok your options are as Follow.

Convert wheel hubs to those of a SS. (would require new Rims in 5x110 bolt pattern0

Buy the conversion kit form Stainless Steel Brake Company.

That is all, talk amongst yourselves.

BTW use search next time.
