I got a 2.2 auto with a magnaflow exhaust and i was wondering since the resonator is rattling really bad would it hurt just to cut it off and weld a straight piece of pipe in there?

 

I heard our cars sound raspy without the resonator, but I heard a cobalt 2.2 with 2.25" cat back and magnaflow, with no resonator. Sounds great to me. Its all up to you. I would say to try it without the resonator. If you don't like it, you can always get another at the muffler shop for pretty cheap.
