motor help

i got my block back from the machine shop and started putting the parts back together. i put the crankshaft bearings all in place and used some bearing grease to spin the crank. without the lower crank case the crank was spinging. so i put the case over it and tryed to spin it again and no luck....... i printed the torque specs of mitchel and it says 15ftpounds and the a degree turn (dont remember what degree this moment) so i pulled the lower case off and every thing looked alright..... tryed it again and it did the same thing. i got really frustrated and quit for the night

any ideas?

15lb/ft + 70* SI says to use clean engine oil to lube the bearings. Thats what I use when doing them under warrenty and have never had a problem. Maybe the grease is too thick. Did they have to redo the bearing surfaces? Make sure you have the right size bearings. Just throwing out some ideas.
