Mounts worth it?

okay so im basically fully bolted and about to get a tune when i get my tax money back, and i was wondering if its really worth it to get a motor mount and a tranny mount and im an auto BTW..realistically how much more HP would I put down?

NOt necessarily extra HP but you will be able to transfer the HP to the street a lot better. That and if you use the b and m shift plus kit that Cobalt Addiction sells for 39 bucks you will notice a way different feel when the car shifts.

already have the shiftplus and I understand they dont give me more HP, I guess i wasent clear on HP down my bad, I know I losse hp at the crank and tranny and was curious how much more HP would be available to me with these mounts

im guessin you would have the same hp as wat youre puttin out. the mounts only stiffens up the engine and tranny so you can get the power to the ground. i dont believe they make power available

It's CIA, not CAI.

OP: Yes, mounts are DEFINITELY worth it. You will get the vibs, but they're not so bad once the mounts break in.

No, I personally do not, but I have been in a cobalt with a solid motor mount and solid trans mounts. It vibes, quite a bit, and they were "broken in" too.

feels like the car is gonna fall apart lol. usually feels like that when im takin off. but when i get it movin it feels fine

I just bought a set of used ones on here...$175 for all of them and the tranny inserts are already inserted in the mounts...good deal. Not very many miles on any of it either.

As soon as the stupid paypal goes through, I should have them on the way.

Then the idle drops and you get the cam lope. The vibes are insane then.
