Mrz Pulleys and belt squeaking problem

So i just put my new MRZ pulleys on and the new belt and i drove it around and the first day it was great no problems at all and now the last two day my belt has been squealing like hell and i looked at everything and it seems like the tensioner isn't holding tension on the belt so is there any way to adjust this or do i need a new one or what and if i do wher can i get one and a part # ?

Did you get the UDP pulley? If you did what belt did you use? If you used the original belt it is too small you need to get a 5K390 or equivalent.

You need to make sure that the pulleys are aligned properly, as little as 1.5mm misalignemtn can cause nasty noises and accelerated wear. if it was machined wrong theres nothing you can do.

I'm pretty sure they are all aligned properly. I know the problem has to be the tensioner because i can just reach in and spin the tensioner pulley without a problem cause its not tight against the belt

If it is hydraulic like the lsj motor there is not adjusting you have to replace.

Oh ****, I missed the whole part about the tensioner, LOL

Its spring loaded, and you need a new one it its failed. If youre SURE you have the proper belt youll need a tensioner.

Anyone know the part number for the tensioner? Also how bad is it to drive the car with the belt squealing? It only does it until you get to about 20 mph?

Noy a good idea...it may not be squealing but you can be sure there is a lot of slippage so your alternator may not be putting out much of a charge.

Tensioner PN out of the 07 Parts book for the 2.2 (and 2.4) is 24430296
