muffler choice for the ss/sc exhaust

I've been contemplating buying a ss/sc exhaust for my ls. Just wondering what muffler you guy's would recommend that would be something different than the magnaflow's i usually see on this kind of set up. I've been leaning towards maybe a dynomax super turbo. Any input is appreciated

the dynomax is a good choice
I have a magnaflow but I went for the stainless deal...they salt the crap
out of the roads here.
You could save yourself money,I think.

Borla or Flowmaster... Flowmaster sounds Amazing on the SS/SC for some reason. 40 series.

Idk i don't really like the way flowmasters sound on 4 bangers, and everyone seems to have a magnaflow or borla, and i'm not into the "fart can" look.

I completely disagree. 40 Series sound like garbage on the LSJ. Its too tinny and raspy. Id recommend staying far away from a 40.

I personally think anything flowmasters are installed on sound tinny. Thats why i've never ran them on any of my vehicles

I had a Flowmaster res and one of those generic 3A dual outlet AutoZone mufflers (I know, I know..) on my DSM and it sounded incredible, nice deep tone.

Nice to see more KY crew on here.

Your gonna buy an exhaust system and then cutoff the muffler?

Just checking cuz I didnt really understand what was going on, half these guys are talking about LSJs.

if you get lucky like i did, you might find someone on here selling a GMPP Performance Muffler / GMPP Touring Muffler separately from the GMPP catback system. i must say the GMPP Touring Muffler welded onto the stock ss/sc catback sounds amazing and deff. improved top end flow over the huge restrictive stock muffler. i also had a nice 2.5" section of stainless pipe welded in from the axle to the muffler to replace the 2.25" neck down section on the stock ss/sc exhaust.

Quick Reply: muffler choice for the ss/sc exhaust
