did you try putting it into first gear first, then to reverse?

 

Take off your cupholder and look at your cables

 

Is it an automatic or manual? That would help...

Well being an auto that rules out the cables being a problem was referring to a manual transmission

 

Are you pushing the brake in?

Get a code scanner and check for codes. Im not sure if you need anything decent to pull codes from the transmission on a cobalt or if a generic one will work. You probably have a valve body issue or reverse clutch is gone...

you can still drive forward fine?

 

Yes it drives froward fine but sometimes it feels like it pulling I think this car was a flood car cause I see it's linking fulided

 

Reverse takes the most amount of pressure. First I would look at the fluid level and make sure it's topped off. Odds are it's low on fluid. If you top it off and get reverse back then look into the fluid leak
