need honest advice, looking for the next step

I have a 07 ls manual and so far I have the AEM cold air, 2.4 intake, 4-1 header, catted aftermarket downpipe, and the megan racing catback. Im looking for the next step but I need advice from someone with similar modifications. Iv been tossing around the idea of cams but im not sure if the gains will justify the money; not to mention I'll have to find someone to press the sensor onto the new cam. now im really just thinking about getting a tune from trifecta and calling it good. so what I really want to know is whats the realistic gains from my car as it sets getting tuned? also what about with cams? moneys not tight but I dont want to spend a lot of money for a small gain. thanks

im a 2.2 man lol. I know this thread sounds like all the other threads people post about getting tuned or installing a more agressive cam but all the ones iv searched are just full of people talking about how smoking fast their 2.2l NA 4 cylinder car is now that theyve been tuned and their outrunning cars with twice as many cylinders I want the realistic view from people with experience in the area

Well then the G5Club or this place for that matter is the worst place to start looking lmao...

Basic bolt-ons like exhaust and intake and a tune and call it good. I personally wouldn't bother with cams unless you're upgrading other internals like pistons, valve springs, etc.

But that's just me, I'm sure another fast-n-furious member will chime in and tell you how he gains 50hp and 60tq with cams and exhaust.

yea i would definately say you would have better luck over at the club than here. being that they all come N/A unless they go upon themselves to make their cars FI.

although without valve springs, proting/polishing work etc...you cant use the power effectively

you dont need the sensor, it can be tuned out and works fine

Yeah I guess "worth it" is a relative term haha... ~60hp for the amount of money in parts you spent to get it just wouldn't be "worth it" to me.
