Need Opinions on Next Mod (Dad's Paying)

here's the situation, daddy dearest wants me to put more power at the wheels so he has offered to buy me a part for my car but it has to increase power.

I noticed this on Gravana, but the install instructions dont work, and i dont know if it will REALLY even make a difference.
http://www.gravanatuning.com/applica..._Regulator_Kit

Other ideas:

- Rsm Racing lightened crank pulley

- Ingalls torque damper

- Cams (but might be too expensive for dad's liking) http://www.levelzeromotorsports.com/...php?product=16

- Lightened flywheel (again maybe a bit of a stretch)

my estimated spending limits would probably be $200, but i could probably make up the difference if needed, but keep in mind i am still a student.

In that case get your tranny flushed and filled with royal purple. I've seen it add up to 8 HP at the wheels of a camaro before.

does that work with manuals vs autos, cause i drive a 5 speed, also how much is it? i may be able to get that and yet another mod if it's cheap enough.

Well royal purple is expensive ****. I don't know exactly how much but for tranny fluid in Canada it's around $200 CDN. It works best for manual, you see the most gain.

I saw that Royal Purple thing too but it is just getting back a percent of lost HP from the tranny, and I believe the car was making about 600hp that made the 8 hp off of tranny fluid, so you would be looking at a 2-3 hp gain at best. And the fluid in the camaro was pretty crappy looking anyways.

get the Pacesetter armor coated header

or the TWM short shifter, it wont add more power but it'll help cut your times down.

yeah to both of those ^^^^ my header will be at my house tomorrow and in my car about 2 hours after i get it, and i absolutly LOVE the twm short shifter.. because i dont think the fuel regulator would be a big help for you unless u had alot of other work done to the car

Just get an intake or exhaust, intake should be around $200 and is good for a few horses. Only exhaust I have seen cheap is the pace setter.

Don't waste your money on the FPR. There is no need to try and raise your fuel pressure if you don't need more fuel. If you don't know if you need more fuel, than don't touch it. More than likely, you don't need it if you're not beyond bolt ons...when you start touching the inside your motor or working with boost, than fuel starts to become an issue but right now in this part of the game, your computer is capable of adjusting to the air changes decently.

If you seriously want to fine tune, I would use something more electronic like an HP Tuners (when it's available) or an SAFC2. Other than that, I wouldn't mess with your fuel pressure.

Some cheaper stuff if you wanted to get more out of your money, although from the sounds of it, a header is going to get you the most performace wise.

Urethane Control Arm Bushings
Urethane D Link Bushings
Stiffer motor/torque mount (This can cause the car to vibrate a lot more, you'll have to decide if it's worth it or not.)

Personally though, I would stick with what most of the guys are saying. If you have an intake and you have an exhuast, get the middle man... a header!

or save up 200 more dollars and buy some nice tires... rev higher then normal and you'll shoot off that line

or if you wanna save up 300 more and spray n20 in your car you'll also shoot off the line

bbuuttt... if you can only spend 200 dollars i'd get a short shifterand then use the remaining money to buy gas lol

WOW theres alot of suggestions on here! most are ok but some are just dumb...honestly i have the injen CAI and DC Sports cat back and i got pretty good gains...u can get both for like 800 shipped...thats my recommendation....better sound than pacesetter too...not as ricey...much deeper and mellow

Edit: u have exhaust so intake and/or header

sorry i didnt specify my mods, i have all my bolt ons done. Injen intake, Pacesetter ceramic coated header, corsa touring exhaust. I also have a short throw shifter and a dc strut bar.

I was talking to my dad tonight while giving his car an oil change and suggested a radar detector, he just laughed and said no.

I am leaning towards getting a crank pulley but dad doesnt want to give out credit card info online so i might get it and he will just pay me back, anyone else done this mod with good results? any other suggestions?
