I would call it forced induction, thats what it is

Actually f/i is when you are forecing air into the motor by means of turbo or super charger. I aont think that nitros could be considered f/i.

However i think that nitros is a bad way to go it is just the oh **** my car is not fast and all i have i s500 bucks to spend nawz baby yah. to nitros from here

As for the rest of your post Yes everyone running nitrous is a bunch of broke asses looking for the best way to get some power. Stupid idiots

Man I can't wait to get my nitrous kit.

well nitrous is too iffy it makes puddles and isnt consistant its almost impossible to tune for consistently like a turbo or super charger can be tuned for and nitrous is not forced induction because its not compressed air its more like regular air but different since its more explosive and creates more power but nothing is forced on it

^ that may be true but nitrous is an oxidizer so in other words it makes air more dense and colder, therefore it is still technically compressed by the nitrous when it enters the combustion chamber. Hense why it's still considered F/I.

Yeah that may be true, but it's not harmful like everyone seems to think. BrianMP5T, Correct me if I'm wrong, But all it does is make the air heavier, and colder. Plus assjacks like ricers don't have any idea what it really does.

the puddling problem would be more of an intake manifold problem not a nitrous problem. With a properly designed intake manifold thats something you shouldn't have to worry about. And I have seen plenty of people with cars tuned on nitrous...of course these cars have chips available and they had a street tune and a nitrous tune but they all made great power.

BTW I hate hondas but that comment was just retarded
you have 4 posts and nothing positive or productive, i've made some dumb comments in my first few posts, but i find youer worthless and wish i was a mod so i could rid the forums of you b4 the trolling gets worse, if the 2.2 didnt have potential, why would GM use them in all there drag cars, do some research b4 you post anymore, or maybe you should of just got a Honda, i know import owners that know more about our cars then you do

Heavier, no. More dense, yes.

Colder, yes.

Most importantly, it increases the percentage of O2 contained in the intake air charge. Atmospheric is about %20 O2. Nitrous kicks it up to around %35.

basically, nitrous increases the amount of air molecules that are inside the chamber. more air molecules = more fuel needed to burn them = more power produced per stroke.
