oil?
i swap from royal purple to mobil1 at random, i ran 9k on royal purple; ran great, i ran the other 33k on mobil1, no issues at all, great oils...but i cant sayi preffer one more than the other
just so u know u have a 2.2 you dont HAVE to use synthetic. the car will rust away before the engine wears out even ifu use regular oil.

its prolly only cheaper than amsoil & royal purple. if money is an issue try pennzoil platinum which can usually be found on sale or with mail-in rebates.

my old 3.4 liter only held 4.5 quarts full, for example.
and mobile 1 was the worst out of them all, the irving brand synthetic was better then it!
and royal purple was the best.
i noticed a difference when i switched to it, and if this guy switched he did the smartest thing!
When i was at a car show they had mobile 1 and a few other brands of synthetic oil there and they did a test of wear on a barring.

royal purple....3-5k miles, took it out, smelled like ASS and was completley black...no thanks.
go ahead and say you felt a difference blah blah it's all in your head just trying to justify the fact that you wasted money on something that could be done for cheaper.

not necessarily. the architecture of the blocks are similar, the 2.0 and 2.2 referes to the volume of the displacement of the cylinders. most of the oil is contained down in the pan and thats whats diffrent between them.
