oil cap extender?

Question oil cap extender?

how do i take off the extender for the oil cap with out breaking it? i would like to keep it just incase i wanted to trade in the balt, i would want to put the plastic back on. thanks in advance.

i did a combo of both... im pretty sure it unscrewed out tho almost positive

and OP... just out of curiousity... why do you want a wideband o2 sensor? kind of a waste of money IMO unless your going heavy on the mods down the road

okie dookie.. lol i never got mine out. after i blew the motor i put one outta a 04 cavi in it and it had the regular oil cap like the lsj has. lol so mine got swapped out for the cost of a motor..

If you havent gotten it off yet. Try when the engine is warmed up. Just pull up and towards the front of the car and it will come out -- it has to flex a bit to get out -- no need to twist it. The extender has screw-in grooves like the cap but it has a latch that prevents it from turning/unlocking once it is in place.
