Oil in the intake?

Ok so i have heard of when u take off the stock intake mani there is oil in it.. but is there suppose to be oil in the lsj mani after doing the swap?

I went to take off the kit yesterday to reassemble and make sure there was no leaks. well when i did the mani and part of the blower has a thin layer of oil in it.? Is this suppose to happen?

If not how can i fix it?

Change this to a catch can. Its bad for it to see boost.

OHHHH so the catch can goes in between.

And this will prevent oil from going to the intake mani?

Will any catch can work?

Easiest thing to do is get rubber hose, hose clamps and an air compressor line filter from Home Depot and use that. It costs about $15 to make and there was a How-to on it.

Not sure on the hose size, but you will need a couple cheap hose clamps and the proper fittings for the end of the filter

Here is the filter

Any catch can will work they all do the same concept, but make sure it wont see boost at all.

If you have it connected to the intake. Make sure it wont see positive boost. Its bad to have positive boost in your valve cover.

I've checked this many times. There is no oil residue inside my evap line or anywhere inside my intake. There is oil pooled at the bottom of my intake manifold and sitting on the intake runners and valves.

I've come to live with it.

Also my car gives a nice big puff of smoke when I go WOT lol!
