pacesetter header and exhaust

the search button yielded a lot of info just need a little more

firstly i have an 07 g5 with the 2.2L

ok i work at carquest and i can get the pacesetter header and exhaust for 350 buck to me with my awsome discount lol good deal????

anyways i know there is a bit of fitment issues with the exhuast manifold were can i find the special dp needed

and with the exhaust how much louder is it then stock i dont want to be too loud and is the quality there?

lastly i have a k&n typhoon intake with that being said will this get me a noticable amount of power

$350 for a header and exhaust sounds like a good price. I don't know if there is a downpipe specifically designed for the pacesetter header. All I've heard is that you need to have some fabrication done to make it work. But for the price of the header + labor, its probably still one of the cheapest options out there. I would guess that with an intake and full exhaust (DP included) you should be looking at about a 20 hp increase to the crank. I can't comment on the noise, but I imagine that it is quite a bit louder than the stock setup. Is it 2.25" or 2.5"?

the intake(from what ive noticed) is where you'll be noticing a possible performance gain...mostly torque and trottle response
with the exhaust your not gonna noice all too much more performance...just a different sound

I don't know about that. I sure didn't get up to 140whp on my 2.2 just from the intake. The header will definately yield a nice gain.

ive heard the long tube headers produce a raspy sound. that and the lesser quality muffler make a kind of raspy exhaust. but for 350 if you swapped the mufflers for a nice one you would still be under 550 for a full h/dp/cat b

hackabuse on here has that catback but took off the muffler and put on one from ebay from what he told me, when i was at the meet with him and heard it, it sounded pretty damn good, so if you dont like the muffler, you can put a new one on.. a muffler can make the world of a difference in sound..
