pacesetter vs tsudo catback

yes everyone battle of the ebay catbacks, So I'm looking to get a new catback but dont want to spend an arm and leg. So what do you guys think, pros and cons of your pacesetter or tsudo, both of them range from $200-$250 shipped which is not bad. The tsudo does claim to be stainless steel which is a plus, pacesetter doesnt say. But just let me know what you guys think, and thanks for the input.

OK well I was just on ebay aging and found a http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...4293&viewitem= this maybe the way I go!

I have the Pacesetter. Let me tell you a couple things.

A) looks nice, no fart can, etc
B) Sounds like ****. Crazy Honda-esque. So... I had a cherry-bomb welded in backwards (basically acts as a resonator, but cheaper) before the muffler... much better sound, and a bit quieter. However, this method will add ~$100 parts & labor to your final cost. FYI

i had the pacesetter when i had my 2.2, and it was fine by itself, but once i got a downpipe sounded like ass. a 18" resonator helped a LITTLE, but still sounded bad. it was to the point where i was literally embarrassed to accelerate.

TSUDO IS AMAZING

just fitment is a bitch, i had to go out and buy some rubber exhaust hanger thing so i could hang my muffler so the tip wouldnt hit my bumper, because the stock rubber hangers hold it up too high

it was only $6 so not a big deal, other than that I LOVE IT BUY THE TSUDO ASAP

I'd go with Tsudo over Pacesetter for sure

Polished stainless steel vs. steel with black paint
Resonator included vs. no resonator on pacesetter
Smooth low tone vs. pacesetter's raspy sounding
Fartcan Look vs. Pacesetter's polished Tip (Ok pacesetter wins this one)

Score is 3 for Tsudo and 1 for Pacesetter

so what does anyone think about the last one? do you think it will be to raspy w/o a resonator, I'm looking from something with a good note and more hp gains but dont want to look and sound like a little 1.5 sohc rippin down the road. really what I'm trying to deside is to do header or exhaust, I want to keep it kind of quite, that way my car will have that nice clean smooth look and sound but when I lay into it all hall breaks lose. and I'm THINKING that the header will do that but not sure if just a header will give me any gains or if it will even make it sound diff? I already have the sri and it made a huge diff in sound and I'm hoping that a header will go along with the sri and help make the motor roar even more, I've even thought about doing a header keep stock dp (no codes) and going up a size on the exhaust pieping but leaving the stock muffler, giving me MORE power and better sound.??????????

Yea go for the exhaust that you found last on ebay. I have that same exhaust, and I am just waiting to put it on now. It's a great deal, and now if you go to their site, they over stainless 304, and a choice of borla muffler or two different magnaflow mufflers.

the thing is with the 304 stainless at that point it winds up being 500 bux with a resonatori mean 500 bux for a 3" catback isn't horrible but i bet you could get a custom one for cheaper

ha well thanks! actuall fiance not gf, but thats ok. I believe that the 2.2 cat back is 2" then 1.75" over the axle. The 2.0 and 2.4 cat back's are exactly the same, they are 2.5" then down to 2.25" over the axle.

so if I went with a header and ss/sc or na catback that should give me power gains, but do you think it will up the engine roars any, I just want the MOTOR to ring out and the exhaust to keep quite, a lil muffler noice is ok but not a full out blown race car muffler sound, and hondas have really done it bad for the 4 banngers, but you have to remember that a muffler on a honda adds 200hp at lest thats what most of them act like. but I cant talk to much **** about them I just helped my g/f buy a new 2007 ex civic but she is not into the tuner world so it is staying stock

im not really sure what kind of gains you will see, but do a search and see what you can find. a lot of 2.2's on here have switched to the ss cat back.
