Painted Brake Calipers
you take them off and do them your self. There are kits on ebay that supply you with high heat paint made for what you want to do. But if you buyu your own paint get some high heat stuff.
I'll look right now, i actually like the painted caliper look, thinking of doing mine yellow when i get my rims.
Look around ebay to see if you can find them, i got some finals to take right now so i don't have time. Good luck

i did this on my cavalier and it looked cool for a while but when i started chipping off i really regretted doing it, that high heat paint still isnt enough for longevity, if you really wanna have that color see if you can get them powder coated by a shop or something
powder coating is the best bet, i painted mine black a while back and it still looks like the day i did it, black is a lot harder to notice tho if something is messed up, but ues VHT or some other paint made specifically for brake calipers, and make sure to sand them down as best you can to get all the dirt and rust off if there is any
I don't mean to be a Hijack, But, I found MORE uselessness.

The durability and end result is mainly related to the preparation and condition of the surface. On my last car ('01 Z24) I painted my calipers. I used 200 grit fine sandpaper to rid any surface contaminates. I then sprayed and soaked the caliper down with brake cleaner and washed that off. Then I used Plasti-Kote 900°F caliper spray paint. Do not go heavy on the painting. What I did is do 4-5 light coats while letting it dry somewhat between each coat.
I sold that car before I got my Cobalt and it was still looking just like new when I did it over 2 years ago.
Remember, preparation is the key.

on my Cavaliers, I cheaped out and used Engine paint... took the caliper and drums off, took a wire wheel to them and fogged the pant to them... then I decided to pain the subframe...

I just went to Napa and got them to mix a pint of Stealth Grey enemal. Sanded the calipers and drums down, brushed on the paint, 2 coats. Its been on there for 6 months, not one problem. Wash them off they look good as new. no chipping.

for my front emblem that i painted black i just used some flat black model paint and then went over it with some model clear coat to protect it. It looks super cool, i would get you a pic but my car is too dirty from magchloride and road dirt.
I have to agree that powder coating is the best. But that involves taking the caliper off and finding some place to do it. If not, what I did on my camaro was take off the wheels. Clean and sand the poop out of the calipers. Then I used teh VHT caliper paint from pep boys and sprayed on a coating every 20-30 minutes. Let dry overnight. Unmask. Put wheels back on. SWEETNESS
That paint stayed pretty good for a good year and a half before the car got totalled. Just take your time and all will be well.
wish i could give you some pics but i only usre this site at work i dont have a home computer but one day ill see if i can get a pic phone to tru and get the pics on the internet somehow, also when i do that how do i put pics on this site?
