pistons

Hay I am going to rebuild my motor in about a year from now. I am wondering what pistons I should use. 10-1 or 8-1. I am not going f/i right now but I want to in the futcher. what should I do?

well are you gonna go f/i or not?

If you get low compression you're not gonna make any power without f/i. If you go high compression then you won't be able to boost for ****. Take your pick.

I'm not going f/i right know because will have to save for aem's piggy back and a new tcm to go with the turbo so it will be another year before I have saved up and don't want to wast any money on something I won't need.

if you're going f/i FOR SURE then I would just wait till you can do it to get lower compression pistons... unless you feel like driving a dog

don't do the higher comp pistons. It'll go to waste if you're just going to go f/i later plus all the hassle of tearing down the engine twice...
