2.2L L61 Performance Tech 16 valve 145 hp EcoTec with 155 lb-ft of torque

Cool. As soon as i come off the overnight 12's at work Im gonna try and get teh spare engine tore down so I can get the block out for cleaning and honing, and then go from there. I'd love to pull parts out of the current engine, but rather leave it together and have it as my spare after this.


Would LSJ rods and pistons work, or not? Or do I need to go aftermarket 2.2? Reason being the guy selling that head also has these:

Unless you wanna build a 2.0 its easier to just use the stuff made for the l61

Thats what I thought, just wanted to make sure. Think I will try and buy that LSJ cylinder head, then sell the valves and cams out of it and replace them, along with getting it pored and polished.

Cylinder head came today. Will mostly sell the BNIB cams and valvesprings at some point, and I guess I'll shortly make a proper build thread for this project.....

what all would I need to put the LSJ Oil cooler in the 2.2 motor? Been looking but havent been able to find clear photos / data?
